App integrations - now with LTI 1.3
Put your training inside your own app - or your LMS. One click, no second login.
Your users are already signed in - to your product, or to Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard or Brightspace. App integrations let them open CourseAgent courses and programmes with a single click: no registration form, no second credential, and all your reporting still works.
Your users are signed in. Your training is somewhere else.
Every organisation that wants training inside its own product hits the same wall. Until now, the options have all been poor:
Send people to a separate learning portal
And accept the drop-off that comes with a second sign-in.
Buy and integrate a whole LMS
A multi-month project before a single learner sees a course - and SCORM freezes the content at the moment you export it.
Build your own course player
Which means rebuilding tracking, certificates and completion rules yourself.
App integrations remove the choice. Your product stays the front door - CourseAgent becomes the content and reporting engine behind it.
Two ways to connect. One publish method.
Launch from your own product, or from the learning system you already run. Same content, same reporting, same catalogue - you choose the door.
An app of your own (signed link)
Your server signs a short-lived, one-time link and sends the learner straight into the course. For most teams that is an afternoon of developer work - and we generate the developer guide from your live integration, so it is never out of date.
- Works with any product: staff app, member portal, field app, student portal
- Identity comes from your system - no second password anywhere
- Link expires in minutes and works exactly once
A learning system (LTI 1.3)
Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Brightspace, Open LMS and anything else that speaks LTI 1.3 can launch CourseAgent content as an external tool. There is no custom code at all - an administrator pastes four URLs, and gives us four values back from the LMS.
- No development work - a two-step wizard, with Fill automatically from your LMS discovery URL
- Tutors add a CourseAgent course to a module like any other activity
- Students click through with their existing LMS identity

How a signed link works.
Three steps. Your developers set it up once - for most teams it's an afternoon, not a project. With LTI 1.3 there's no code at all.
1. Your app creates a secure link
When one of your users clicks "Start training" inside your product, your system creates a secure, one-time link that says who they are and which course to open. Your developers set this up once - for most teams it's an afternoon's work.
2. The learner clicks once
No second sign-in, no registration form, no new password to forget. The link works once and expires within minutes, so it can't be copied, shared or reused.
3. The course opens - and reporting just works
CourseAgent recognises the learner (or creates them) and opens the course immediately. Progress, scores, completions and certificates all show up in Insights exactly as they do for every other learner.
We generate a developer guide from your live integration, so the instructions your team follows are always correct and never out of date - and there's an LTI edition of that guide for LMS administrators. No LMS licence, no second credential for learners.
Don't want to build anything? We host the catalogue for you.
A fully branded page, hosted by CourseAgent, listing every course and programme you've published for app launch. Your app opens one link - that's the whole build.
Fully yours
Your hero banner, logo, colours, button and card styles. Learners never feel like they've left your world.
Always up to date
Publish a new course and it appears automatically. Your app never needs a release to show new content.
Easy to browse
Search, categories, featured items, card or list view - the browsing experience learners expect.
Every language, every direction
Multi-language throughout, including full right-to-left support for Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi and Urdu. Light/dark toggle and accessibility controls built in.
Closing a course returns the learner to the catalogue; closing the catalogue returns them to your app. The loop feels native throughout.
Five ways to publish. One new favourite.
Launch from your app - by signed link or LTI 1.3 - sits alongside Academy, open link and SCORM, so every audience gets the delivery method that fits. SCORM is a copy of the course going stale inside an LMS; LTI is a live link, so a correction published this morning is what the learner sees this afternoon.
| Method | Learner experience | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Academy | Learner signs in to a CourseAgent-hosted academy | Organisations without their own platform |
| Open link | Anyone with the URL can open the course | Marketing, taster content, wide distribution |
| SCORM package | Course file is uploaded into your LMS | Platforms that predate LTI, or offline packaging |
| Launch from your app (signed link) | One click from inside your own product - no sign-in | Software companies, portals, member apps, field apps |
| Launch from your LMS (LTI 1.3) | One click from inside your LMS course page | Universities, colleges, schools, providers with an LMS |
Where app launch wins: no second credential, no LMS licence, identity comes from your own system - and new courses appear without any release in your app.
Same learners. Same Insights. Nothing special-cased.
Learners who arrive from your app are written to the same tables as everyone else - so everything you already know about reporting keeps working.
- Progress, scores, completions, certificates and feedback in Insights - exactly the same as every other publish method.
- An App launch badge on each learner, so you can see at a glance where they came from.
- Your own user ID - or, for an LTI launch, the LMS user identifier - plus any extra profile details you choose to send, such as Department, Employee ID or Student ID.
- A complete launch log recording every attempt, signed link or LTI, with a plain-language reason code - the foundation of any support conversation.
- A per-deployment switch that stops CourseAgent emailing certificates to app-launched learners, if your LMS or app would rather handle that itself.
Who it's for.
Software companies
Add training to your product without building an LMS. Your users stay in your app; CourseAgent is the content and reporting engine behind it.
Member and association portals
Deliver CPD to members who are already signed in. One click from your portal to the course - no second account, no drop-off.
Field-service, healthcare and logistics
Your staff already carry one app. Put their training in it, instead of asking them to find and log in to somewhere else.
Training providers
Your clients each have their own internal portal. Give every client a launch that feels native to them, from one CourseAgent account.
Secure by design, not by promise.
Every link is signed with a secret only your server holds, lives for minutes, and works exactly once. Every attempt - successful or not - is logged with a reason code. Rotate your secret at any time, with zero downtime.
