Learning technology teams are small and demand for digital modules is not. CourseAgent produces a finished, accessible, multi-language module in a fraction of the time it takes to build one by hand.

SCORM decay

Institutions hold hundreds of SCORM packages exported years ago. Every correction means rebuild, re-export, re-upload and version confusion across modules. An LTI link is corrected once, centrally.

Two ways in, and neither needs a project

An LTI 1.3 activity inside your VLE

CourseAgent registers as an external tool in Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Brightspace or Open LMS. Your administrator pastes four URLs and gives us four values back. A tutor then adds a CourseAgent course to a module like any other activity, and students click through with their existing identity.

A branded catalogue any student portal can open

One hosted page in your colours and logo, listing everything you have published for launch - searchable, categorised, multi-language, with accessibility controls. New content appears automatically, and no front-end build is needed.

SCORM is a copy of the course sitting inside your LMS, going stale from the day it was exported. LTI is a live link - a correction published this morning is what the student sees this afternoon. See the full technical picture.

An account can register more than one integration, so each campus, college or trust member gets its own key, its own launch log and its own reporting slice - while the content is written and maintained centrally. Modules can be allowlisted to a single member of the group where they should not be shared.

Data protection

Only what your LMS sends is stored: a user identifier, optionally a name and email, and any attributes you choose. Pseudonymous launch - no email at all - is supported, which usually shortens the DPIA conversation.

Accessibility

Built-in contrast modes, dyslexia font, zoom and screen-reader support, learner-controlled. Nothing to remediate later.

Standards

LTI 1.3 with OIDC and signed, JWKS-verified messages. SCORM 1.2 and 2004 export remains available for older platforms.

Exit and continuity

Content exports to SCORM, so the institution is not locked in.

Identity and security

Identity comes from your LMS. No student sets a password with us, and every launch attempt is logged with a reason code.

Pilot shape

One module, one integration, one cohort, four weeks. The launch log and Insights supply the evidence for the business case.

What this release does not do

Deep linking from the LMS content picker, grade passback to your gradebook, and roster sync are not in this release. Completion, score and certificates live in CourseAgent Insights and are exportable. If gradebook writeback is a hard requirement for you, tell us and we will log it - the keypair and JWKS groundwork it needs is already built.

What learning technology teams ask

Do students need a CourseAgent account?

No. Identity comes from your LMS or student portal. Students click a CourseAgent activity in their module and are straight into the course - no password with us, and no registration form. We can run entirely without email addresses if your institution prefers.

Which learning systems does CourseAgent work with?

Anything that speaks LTI 1.3, including Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Brightspace and Open LMS. Setup is an administrator task: paste four URLs from CourseAgent into the LMS, and paste the issuer, client ID, deployment ID and endpoints back into CourseAgent - or fill them automatically from your LMS discovery URL. There is no development work.

Do you support grade passback to our gradebook?

Not in this release, and we would rather be plain about it. Deep linking from the LMS content picker, grade passback and roster sync are not included. Completion, score and certificates live in CourseAgent Insights and are exportable. The tool keypair and JWKS work these features depend on is already in place.

We are a college group or multi-academy trust with several LMS instances. Does that work?

Yes. One account can register more than one integration, so each campus, college or trust member gets its own key, its own launch log and its own reporting slice, while the content is authored once centrally. Individual modules can be restricted to named integrations.

Can module leaders edit the content?

Yes. A module leader can change the wording and republish, and students see the updated version immediately - because LTI is a live link to the course, not a frozen copy sitting in your LMS.

Can we still use SCORM?

Yes. SCORM 1.2 and 2004 export is still there for platforms that predate LTI or where you need offline packaging. Most institutions use LTI for anything they expect to update.
