The owl sits in the corner of the course. Click it, type or speak a question, and get an answer drawn from the course the learner is actually taking - with a link to the exact page the answer came from.
It knows what it doesn't know
If the answer genuinely is not in the course, the tutor says so rather than making something up. In Strict mode it cannot invent an answer - it has nothing else to draw on.
Your documents become answers
Upload policies, handbooks and regulations as reference material. The tutor answers from them too, with citations - learners never get direct access to the files, only cited answers.
Starter questions built in
Suggested questions appear so learners who do not know what to ask still get value. Repeated questions are answered instantly and consistently.
Two answer modes. One trust story.
You decide how far the tutor may go - per account, per programme, per course. Inside a programme the tighter setting always wins, so a Strict programme keeps every course strict.

Answers only from the course and the author's uploaded documents. Anything outside that is politely declined.
Best for: Compliance, clinical, legal and regulated content. The answer to "will it make things up?" - it cannot.
Extended mode

Tries the course first, then adds general knowledge when the content does not cover the question - clearly signposted as such.
Best for: Soft skills, onboarding and general professional development.
Course tutor and programme tutor.
The course tutor answers from one course. The programme tutor appears on the programme page and inside its courses, and answers across every course in the programme - so a learner on module 6 can ask about something covered in module 2.
