How it works, in plain English

1. Your app creates a secure link. When a user clicks "Start training" in your product, your server creates a small signed link that says who they are and which course to open. Your developers set this up once - for most teams it is an afternoon's work.
2. The learner clicks once. No second sign-in, no registration form, no new password. The link works once and expires within minutes, so it cannot be copied, shared or reused.
3. The course opens - and reporting just works. CourseAgent recognises or creates the learner and opens the course immediately. Progress, scores, completions and certificates appear in Insights exactly as they do for every other learner.

A developer guide is generated from your live integration, so the instructions your team follows are always correct and never out of date.

If you would rather not build a course list into your app at all, CourseAgent hosts a fully branded catalogue page on your behalf. It carries your hero banner, logo, colours and card styles, and lists everything you have published for app launch - with search, categories, featured items, full multi-language support (including right-to-left languages like Arabic and Hebrew) and built-in accessibility controls.

Your app opens one link. That is the whole build. And when you publish a new course, it appears in the catalogue automatically - your app never needs a release to show new content.

The reporting story

Learners who arrive through an app launch are written to exactly the same learner tables as every other publish method, so nothing about reporting is special-cased. Insights shows progress, score, completion, certificates and feedback as normal - plus an App launch badge, your own user ID for the learner, and any extra profile attributes you choose to send, such as Department or Employee ID.

Every launch attempt, successful or not, is recorded in a launch log with a plain-language reason code. If a learner's link has expired or a course is unpublished, your support team can see exactly what happened.

Is it secure?

Yes - by design, not by promise. Each link is signed with a secret only your server holds, lives for a couple of minutes, and works exactly once. You can rotate the secret at any time with a grace period where both old and new are accepted, so there is never downtime. And if you do not want to share learner email addresses, you do not have to - CourseAgent creates a private internal reference instead, and progress and certificates still work.
